A baler machine being used at a recycling centre. The baler goes through a full cycle from start to finish and is generally used to compress cardboard into small cubes which can then be recycled. The sound is very interesting and unique. I recorded this sound on an iphone. I hope you find it useful and entertaining!.

This clip is the rear channels, mic'd at close range near the edge of the waterwheel, the sluicing sound of water falling out of the wheel is clearly discernible. Recording conducted with a zoom h2, mics set to 120° dispersion.

My first ever field sound recording, made with diy mic and sony mz-n707 md, sp mode, mic gain set to "low". Tommorow will make some more :). Gilera runner sp50, 50 ccm 2-stroke scooter, with removed factory speed-limiters (some of them are in the exhaust). Mic was positioned maybe and inch above exhaust. At the begining automatic choke is engaged, hence the high idle revs. .

An early morning recording made at 7:30am on sunday april 2nd, 2017 in a large field bordered by heavy woods. . . . Beyond the woods is a large lake and, with headphones on, you might be able to hear the sound of boats on the lake. It was sunny, but, a typical cold early spring day. Temp was 43 degrees with a slight breeze making it feel like 37. But, that did not stop the birds from putting on a chorus. Rain in brittany on a windy winter day. I built this sound by mixing several field recordings made on the same spot: a small wood in the south of the region. These recordings had different focuses: some were more wind-oriented, others had more rain. . . This is an old commercial refrigerator from the grocery store. It was making a very nice regular droning sound so i placed my phone inside the fridge to get a clean recording without the noise from the store. Perfect for a spaceship drone or background noise at a factory.

Outside my gym is a large tree or bush and every night in the summer months a swarm of sparrows invades the bush. Hundreds of birds disappear into the thick hedge for the night. The sound is unique and overwhelming. There is an sporadic wind sound but a few long sections without.
